A living temple, open to everyone

Daily worship

Aarti is offered every morning at 11am and every evening at 7pm, broadcast live on Facebook for devotees who cannot attend. Newcomers are always shown the way — many of our visitors tell us it is the warmest welcome of any temple they have known.

Kirtan & Langar, every Tuesday

Every Tuesday from 6pm to 8pm the mandir fills with kirtan, aarti is offered at 7pm, and langar — a free vegetarian meal — is served to everyone present. Our kitchen holds a 5-star food hygiene rating. No booking, no charge, everybody eats together.

The murtis of the mandir

Maa Kali & Maa Bhameshwari

At the centre of our main altar stands Maa Kali — the fierce and loving Mother, remover of fear. To her right stands Maa Bhameshwari, venerated in the tradition of the Bham lineage as an avatar of Kali Mata, whose first UK temple this is; to her left, Maa Lakshmi and Maa Saraswati. Around them stand the shrines of Bherunath, Surya Dev, Ganesh Ji, Shiv Parivar, Radha–Krishna and Hanuman Ji.
